As the founder of a career advice site, I find that most youngsters feel they have few skills and therefore their CV's (resumes) look a bit like old mother Hubbard's cupboard! At www.mytalentplace.co.uk, we've developed a way of helping students to identify the skills they already possess and then write these in a compelling way so that their CV is something they're proud of and confident in. Even entry level holiday jobs and the like develop real skills and students should not just view them as pocket money - they're skills builders.

Totally agree - awesome advice.

Especially investing, family business and technology are definitely experience boosters and are appreciated by employers. Every company wants someone with analytical skills, experience dealing with people and great computer skills. They're also great for general conversation before or after an interview.
